The following day, Xan was revived, albeit now with the same black eyes as the sunbird and with grayish skin.
That night, she brought Xan's body to the same strange dogs connected with reviving the sunbird. After Xan's funeral service Winston Duarte speaks to her,trying to reassure Cara that it is okay to be sad.
Running home to tell her parents, she finds out that her brother was killed in an accident. The next day, Cara returned to the location of the sunbird nest and saw the eerie marvel of a resurrected sunbird and a similar repair of her parents' utility drone by the strange dogs. Cara took her parent's drone to try to help get the sunbird's chics back into their nest to protect them but ends up damaging the drone and going home. Her parents tried to explain the reason for the sunbird's death, but had to leave to attend a town meerting. Cara takes the animal's body to her parents, upset that she had killed it. She attempts to feed an indigenous sunbird, however the human food is toxic to the animal and it dies. While exploring the wilderness around their family home, Cara sees several different indigenous species of lifeforms, including strange dogs. “The Final Mission” - Spoilers for " Season 6" follow.
